New Interview Agreement with Air Wisconsin
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — Flight students at Parkland College soon will have greater opportunities for employment as commercial pilots, under a new agreement with Air Wisconsin Airlines. Air Wisconsin recently entered into a Professional Pilot Development Program agreement with the Institute of Aviation at Parkland College. Air Wisconsin will offer interviews to Parkland Aviation students and graduates for its Airman Trainee positions, giving students experience as a flight crew member with the airline. To interview to become an Airman Trainee at Air Wisconsin, students must be age 19 or older, have enrolled in or successfully completed an Associate in Science in Aviation from Parkland, and have their commercial certificate with an instrument rating. Other Air Wisconsin requirements include completing an online application and passing pre-employment background checks.
