Institute Alumna candidate for WAI Board

Brittney Miculka, WAI 16311 and candidate for WAI Board of Directors, is a passionate advocate for general aviation and for flight training. She currently serves as director of ImagineFl ight at Redbird Flight Simulations. ImagineFlight is a new member-led professional network of Redbird-affiliated flight schools devoted to the development and promotion of quality flight training experiences. Recently, Brittney also served as the host of an online series called Winging It (www.WingingIt.show). This special project sent Brittney on the road to visit flight schools across the country to highlight the best in aviation education and promote pilot proficiency. Before moving to Austin, Texas, in 2015 to join Redbird, Brittney held several positions with the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) spanning nearly eight years. At AOPA, she held the position of director of pilot community development, leading initiatives to grow the pilot population, strengthen the general aviation community, and enhance flight training activity and retention. Prior to that role, Brittney served as the manager of General Aviation Security with AOPA Government Affairs working a variety of policy issues to prevent unnecessary regulatory burden on general aviation. Brittney graduated with honors from the University of Illinois with a degree in aviation human factors. She is a CFI and holds a commercial pilot certificate for singleand multiengine aircraft.
